Ergonomic advice enhances productivity and well-being
Dear employer, it’s good that you’ve landed here! It’s the first step toward healthy, satisfied employees and reduced costs due to absenteeism.
(Are you self-employed? This page about a healthy home office setup is intended for you!)
Almost every employee is sooner or later affected by work-related complaints.
The emergence of these complaints is not surprising when you consider that 70% of workplaces are not properly adjusted. This leads to typical office ailments such as back pain and stiff shoulders due to excessive strain. But even people with physical professions are at high risk.
Meanwhile, your employees are doing their best to keep working despite (early) complaints. They may not be aware of ergonomics, properly adjusted workstations, or safe lifting. Until it’s too late, and absenteeism becomes inevitable.
That’s why it’s necessary for someone to visit and provide expert advice on ergonomic work practices. It is essential to address the source of overexertion. It’s like going from mopping with the tap running to turning off the tap! Every euro you invest in ergonomics may yield up to 5 times in return!
Ergonomic advice leads to:
- More satisfied and productive employees (and therefore higher returns)
- Reduced short-term absenteeism (and therefore lower costs)
According to research, your investment in ergonomics can yield €5 for every €1 you invest!
Furthermore, the earlier you seek advice, the greater the return. In other words: Investing in ergonomic workstations in a timely manner is better than curing.
You can seek ergonomic advice at various times, but there is only one moment when complaints are truly prevented: Preventive advice (for instance when arranging a new workstation or designing a work environment.
Address complaints at the root and prevent them from occurring at all. This means significant cost savings on (recurrent) absenteeism. If an employee can work ergonomically from the first day, the chances of complaints and therefore absenteeism are much lower.
Your investment is guaranteed to pay off.

Ergonomic advice for (early) complaints from employees
Prevent early physical and/or mental complaints from developing into absenteeism. I offer a comprehensive workplace assessment, often combined with personal coaching at the workplace.
Ergonomic advice for (recurrent) absenteeism
Employees with recurring or persistent complaints report sick earlier and more frequently. A clear sign that something needs to be done. In such cases, workplace assessment and personal coaching at the workplace are also possible. Workshops, myofeedback, and ergonomic passports
In addition to ergonomic advice, I also offer workshops (such as a lifting course and Smarter Working). In all my services, I use myofeedback to measure muscle tension in employees.
Employees I’ve helped with an ergonomic workstation can receive an ergonomic passport: a handy card with all the correct settings for the desk and chair, along with instructions for proper posture. Interested in making an appointment?
